Credibility is Important - There are many Universities & their “Agent” that advertise heavily for Distance Education, but keep in mind, that credibility is important with your degree. Employers consider the school you obtained your degree from. Also, if you do ever decide to continue your education with graduate school or more, the prospective school will consider where you received your bachelors degree from as well. Any higher education institution will consider this. If your degree is from a university that offers only distance education degrees, you might lose some credibility with it.
Distance Learning Works Best For Some People - Once you have chosen a good school to get your degree from. You might find that you enjoy the pace of working at your own speed. Some people learn best on their own, reading and doing assignments, than learning in a classroom setting.
Compare Costs - The tuition rates for universities varies between Colleges/ Universities. If you are able to find a school that is in a low cost of living area, you might be able to find tuition rates as low as Rs 3,000 per Semester/ Year. If you are looking at more prestigious Universities & Centre, tuition can be as high as Rs. 50,000 per Semester/ year or more.
A way to save money might be to get your associates degree from a lower cost school and then get your bachelors degree from a more prestigious school.
Do Your Research - Make sure you check with a list of schools under investigation or who are known to be fraudulent before you decide on a school. You want to make sure you will end up with a degree you can be proud of.
Sometimes many colleges/ Universities does not have authorities/ Recognition from UGC or any other Govt. Body institute. So, Please do some research work on it.
